I’ve been hearing a lot about the high-quality shows that Channel 7 had supposedly been producing, like Mulawin, StarStruck, Eat Bulaga, etc.
I have been dying to watch them since I read them favorably-reviewed almost daily, in the online editions of Philippine newspapers.
I would love to write something about them too, but the sad thing is, despite numerous reports that pop-up in the papers every now and then, still the much-anticipated Channel 7 global satellite has not come to its fruition here in the United States or in any part of the world outside the Philippines, to the best of my knowledge (May ibang Asian countries na napanonood nang live ang shows ng GMA 7. — Jun Lalin).
With the onslaught of the ongoing network wars (Channel 2 vs Channel 7), no matter how much Channel 7 trumpet its daily ‘ratings game’ victories most of the time, still the fact remains that only Channel 2 shows are seen by a larger global ‘spending’ audience outside of the Philippines.
To this effect, to us Pinoys here overseas then, ABS-CBN is not just the number 1 TV station, but the ONLY one.
Overseas Pinoys has long been a booming Philippine market that is being left untapped by Channel 7 for not rushing into the globalization era.
Overseas Pinoys like us buy the Champions’ non-pirated CDs and VCDs that are promoted there and being sold here.
We also text our paid votes to reality-based shows like SCQ National Teen Quest, and in dollars. We also buy Bench clothes and baby shampoos that are advertised there and are made easily available here.
We also have businesses that pay TV advertisement fees handsomely. We also have our needs — a need that right now only Channel 2 had been fulfilling lovingly, like a ‘Kapamilya’ for the last 10 years.
I do not know what’s taking Channel 7 so long but in this case, time is money — a lot of money.
Channel 7 bigwigs obviously are making their business strategic priorities straight by choosing peso revenues over dollars. To a wiser businessman, the choice is clear. Channel 7, what gives?

Maraming mga tao ang hindi nakapanood ng Silver Special ng Eat Bulaga. Sana to make this event more memorable, ang gawin ng GMA mag-release sila ng VCD nito just like yung mga concert specials na nagiging available na sa ganung format. Nga pala, sana magtuloy tuloy na ang expansion ng GMA abroad. Pag na-reach nila ang Filipino communities doon, matatapos na ang monopolization ng ABS CBN. With that, the viewers can have a choice. Sana rin pala mag-release din ang GMA records ng soundtrack ng Forever in my Heart. Yun lang po.

hello. i just really wanna know WHEN. WHEN will there be GMA here in US? im from san francisco and most of the filipinos here have tfc’s but im sure that they will immediately switch to gma kapag meron na dito. all of my classmates have tfc’s in their houses but they said, they are not satisfied with it. they also said that they really dont like abs-cbn but they didnt have a choice. in my opinion, having tfc is a waste of money because no other filipino station makes the best shows and public affairs than the GMA 7. proud kapuso from san francisco, ca.

halos lahat ng filipino dto sa hawaii ay meron ng tfc pro ang pngtataka ko lang ay kung bkit kunti lang ang nanonood nito.at marami ang nanonood sa chanell 9 kung saan ipinapalabas ang ibang show ng gma provided by the guy named ven villapando(filipino).
