Bubble Gang Jr gets even better
FUNNIER BUBBLE GANG JR. TONIGHT
THE kids of GMA-7’s new hit show, “Bubble Gang Jr.” has proven that, yes, kids can make us laugh, too.
Tonight, brace yourselves as “Bubble Gang Jr.” gives another ribtickling show with their sophomore try. In the segment, “Litol Pipol,” see a Lilliputian family that gets into funny situations. Without their knowledge, they are being observed by their normal-sized neighbors.
In “Tula Translation,” King and Popoy, the present `day Dolphy and Panchito, translate a song or poem into English or Filipino. In “Ex Na Challenge,” a spoof of the highly rating show, “Extra Challenge,” participants take the challenge of catching a fish, producing fire and cooking the fish they caught—all in the spirit of fun.
They, too, have commercial spoofs. In “Bilib Ka Bata” see the version of Jasmine Trias’ Hapee toothpaste commercial, and the video clips of street dentists in India. In “Ang Batang Doon,” modern day Pilosopo Tasyos answer the question: May nasusulat ba kung ano ang iniinom ng mga lasing? May nasusulat ba tungkol sa hindi masarap na spaghetti sa isang children’s party? Roll over to the fairy tale and restaurant gags.
In “Ating Salamin,” a new segment where kids are asked what certain terms or words mean. In Mel and Junior, kids ala Mel and Joey debate on whether kids should take a nap at noon. In Paksiw, hosts deliver the current news of the week with reenactment videos.
In the Reverse Sketch, “Bubble Gang,Jr.” goes to a park, rides a bicycle, buys balloons, all in reverse. In “Saliwa-Kain,” learn the modern-day versions of some Filipino sayings. Now, who says children only know how to cry and play? They make people laugh, too.

I’m afraid I must disagree with my fellow Kapuso fans about this show. But I honestly think that the kids in the other show are better. Their acting is natural and they don’t appear to be merely reciting their lines.
Feeling ko lang po, parang minadali ang Bubble Gang Jr. may maitapat lang sa Goin’ Bulilit. Kumbaga po sa army, “green soldiers” pa sila. I hope they improve.
But the ratings are what matter. And so far, Bubble Gang Jr. has the edge. It was very close this last Sunday. We’ll see who holds out. Good luck to BGJ!

Yes, the Juniors, sadly, do not seem to be enjoying their show. It’s like they’re just memorizing lines. But the Kapuso viewers continue to give them a chance. BGjr still has a higher rating the second time around.
